Summerfield Developments are diverse developers operating largely across Somerset and the South West. Their roots go back to 1823 where they have evolved from a small family-owned building firm into the well-established business it is today.

What was the Challenge?
Summerfield had an existing IT provider that they had outgrown and who were unable to support their growth aspirations. They were in need of a larger IT provider who could deliver to fixed SLAs and provide consultancy and advice on IT solutions to drive greater efficiency and support in line with a modern working environment, particularly when reflecting on how the Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way they work.
Key amongst this was adapting to changes in working patterns by adopting to remote and hybrid work.
In addition to this, Assured Digital Technologies investigated their legacy systems and processes, and proposed substantial improvements and system upgrades.
What was the solution?
Assured Digital Technologies onboarded Summerfield as their managed IT provider, taking over all their services that included a proactive IT strategy, where a 3-year plan was implemented.
Initially, this included IT support, implementing security and assurance solutions and an infrastructure health check was performed and carried out. In addition to this, Assured Digital Technologies ensured backup solutions were in place and undertook an audit of their services and network infrastructure.
How we helped
To ensure Summerfield had taken the right steps in moving to a new managed service provider (MSP), it was pinpointed where everything is now being stored, hosted, and backed up, giving them the knowledge and confidence and planning for robustness.
By providing them with the latest technology, Summerfield has adapted to new ways of working through cloud solutions and streamlined business processes. They are now actively looking to expand this into new offerings and services to generate future business.
What was the outcome?
While the outcome is an ongoing process, Summerfield now has a clear and concise IT strategy in place, where Assured Digital Technologies regularly undertake IT clinics on a regular basis and monthly service reviews.
In addition to this, they have a renewed confidence that their systems are backed up, running efficiently, and monitored regularly. They are also safe in the knowledge that their systems are being looked after and futureproofing their business.
