Background
Press Commercial Bodyworks is a family run, SME established back in 1970 in a back street garage in Bristol. They operate a full range of commercial vehicle recovery, bodywork, painting, refurbishment and graphics/livery services.
Challenge
Press Commercial Bodyworks approached Bristol IT Company in 2018 looking for a proactive IT support company who would provide a better service than their current provider. The IT support they were receiving was falling short of their expectations and they felt like they were not being made a priority.
Solution
When joining Bristol IT back in 2018, the best support package based on their business requirements as an SME, was credit based support. Bristol IT’s credit based support plan allows businesses to purchase support credit to use when needed, and top it up when necessary, rather than committing to a set number of hours each month. This method of support can be cost effective for organisation’s who aren’t sure of how much support they will require.
Following a successful 1st year partnership, Press Commercial looked to Bristol IT Company to provide them with an IT strategy for the next 12-36 months. Press Commercial’s main objectives were to be able to work more efficiently and reap the benefits of new technologies with the guidance from experienced IT professionals. As part of the IT strategy, Bristol IT recommended a move to Microsoft 365 and an upgrade from Windows 7 (which became End of Life January 2020) to Windows 10. To facilitate the upgrade the Press Commercial team also required new desktops and laptops. Since the initial engagement, Press Commercial’s IT support requirements had also changed, and Bristol IT’s Proactive Managed IT package would be a more cost effective option. For one monthly fixed rate (based on number of users) Press Commercial would receive unlimited* IT support, consultancy, proactive monitoring with Datto’s RMM software and Sophos Intercept X Advanced security.
Result
By engaging with Bristol IT Company as their Managed IT provider, Press Commercial now benefit from an extensive IT strategy with proactive managed IT at the centre. As a result Press Commercial can be confident that their IT is well looked after and is not only robust and fit for purpose but also supports the growth of their business.
